About Bruno Paucard – Scaleo chip

Bruno Paucard joined Scaleo chip as Chief Executive Officer in September 2007.

Bruno has 21 years experience in the semi-conductor industry and over 17 years of senior leadership experience in early stage companies including 12 years focusing on imaging and printing market.

Prior to joining Scaleo chip, Bruno hold the position of President of TAK Imaging France, COO and founder of TAK Imaging group, a Silicon Valley based emerging growth company providing complete system solutions to the consumer photo inkjet and dye sublimation printer markets, for which he help raised in excess of $40M in series A, B and C of Venture Capital money. TAK Imaging was sold to InSilica in August 2007.

After obtaining a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering in 1986, Bruno Paucard started his career as Engineer at INRIA, a French research center in computer technology, before joining GIPSI in 1989 as ASIC Leader. He funded TAK’ASIC, an ASIC design house boutique, in 1991, that he transformed into a printing technology product company in 2000, and flipped to a US entity in 2003. TAK’ASIC changed name in 2004 to become TAK Imaging.

Jude has an extensive high tech management experience in Europe and Israel.
Jude is known as a visionary, with a disciplined and focused investment and company development approach. His managerial, operational background, insights and network of relations in Europe and Israel in the Telecommunication, Internet and New Media sectors constitute his “value added” services to his entrepreneurs.

Jude has built a proven track record in founding and advising high growth early and later stage propositions such as:

Prior to joining BayTech as General Partner in 2001, Jude has held management and operational functions at Ericsson, Fujitsu and BT. He has also been an M&A advisor to High Tech CEOs.

Jude has an MBA from the State University of New York and an Engineer Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the Technical University of Munich.

Jean-Michel Beghin

About Jean-Michel Beghin, Managing Director – R Capital  

Jean-Michel joined the Venture Capital sector after more than 10 years of engineering, operational and consulting experiences both in the Silicon Valley and in different European countries.  

After holding a position as Partner of the Natexis Venture Capital activity, Jean-Michel created the Venture Capital activity of the Rothschild Group. His recent investments include Scaleo chip, Picochip, Emulation & Verification Engineering (EVE), Chipidea and Ip.access.  

Prior to joining the Venture Capital sector, Jean-Michel worked throughout Europe as Senior Manager in the Strategy and Management Consulting department of Ernst & Young and in the Corporate Finance area.  

Before his European experience, Jean-Michel held various engineering and management roles in the Silicon Valley at several small and large companies: Fault Tolerant Systems, startup based in California, and Hewlett-Packard.  

Jean-Michel holds an Engineering degree and an M.B.A.

Ioana Simionescu

About Ioana Simionescu, Seventure Partners

Ioana joined Seventure Partners in 2007 and sits on the board of directors of portfolio companies Scaleo chip, Bewan, DXO Labs and Arkeia.

Since 1999, Ioana has been in venture capital participating in investment management with zouk ventures and Sofinnova Partners.

She graduated from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and started her career as an R&D engineer successively at Schlumberger and STMicroelectronics.

Iona received an MPhil degree on the production and characterization of nanometer-scale structures from St-Johns College, Cambridge (U.K.), and worked thereafter at J.P. Morgan in M&A advisory and transactions execution.
